We’re two episodes in now, and I’m loving this drama. Some people may have been taken back a bit by Lee Gun’s overwhelming eccentric character in episode 1. Personally I love it, but he’s certainly unique. As a super Jang Hyuk fan, I knew the actor would show us much more than just this one side of his character. Sure enough, in episode 2, we start to see other sides to him. At times in the episode, he showed us that Jerk Chaebol character, but then he softened up and showed that he really does have a big heart.
I continue to find Jang Nara’s portrayal of Mi Young delightful. I felt really bad for her in this episode. She’s so sweet, but unfortunately people tend to take advantage of that if you let them.
So I feel kind of silly; I referred to Daniel (Choi Jin Hyuk) as a bad boy in the last episode and it turns out he’s not. I think I’m really going to like him.
I think I’m really at an advantage not having seen the original. It’s nice this way since I’m not comparing the actors.
